Newbie, Good Choice on Mods?

Hi, I'm just getting into the mini rc's. (friend had one, so I have to get one! and it needs to smoke his) I'm getting a Microsizer Nissan Skyline GT-R (coolest looking body style IMO).

I want to order all this stuff at once, so are these good choices?
Dual 150mAh NiMH batteries
3.2 Motor
Cat 5 Antenna
Tire Set
Gear Set

Also, the Microsizer is going to have a crip cap right?

I plan on charging the dual battery set up via a 3AA 4.5 volt battery charger. How long would this take to charge the dual battery (150 mAh) set up. Thanks!

If you are going to go all out get a Bit Char G instead of a Micro. They are pretty much the same price if not cheaper. Infact I got the exact same bit as you want for only $32 after shipping. There is more documentation on the bit so it will be easier to mod then the Micro which in some cases has been reported as differeing from the Bit.

BlueBlaster01, you are correct... exactly the same.
In fact, Tower Hobbies' new catalog, Tower Talk, states that fact.
"The Original micros made by Tomy!"

Oops...

I forgot....

I have one OEM modded with dual 150mAh NiMH batteries.
It's handful to drive!

It's got:

2.2 motor
9.86:1 gearing
soft tires on all four corners (tires are from a real Bit not the tire set)

Here's a link that could help driving-wise:
http://tinyrc.com/forums/showthread....&threadid=2217

I charge mine using a plug-in charger that I made. 4.5V/800mA for 3 minutes.
I'm still working out the best length of time for optimum charge, though...

How hard is it to make a plug-in charger? What are the part numbers for the materials needed? Do you think the 3AA 4.5 volt charger battery set up will provide sufficient power? to get a full charge.
