Batteries....
I can see two commercial options for batteries, the Kyosho and Atomic. However I saw a few people that simply bought Li-Po cells and fit them into the car (Pedrocamp and benmlee).
I'm wondering how well the straight up cells work, because they are larger capacity and quite a bit less expensive. I like to solder and I can charge them using alligator clips on my charger. Do they fit snuggly into the car? Are there connectivity problems?

I like the after-market X-Power Li-Po I got from Q'on (200 MAH vs stock 130 MAH). They last much longer and keep their race-ready 'kick' for a least 5 more minutes then stock. Yes, you can make your own LiPo packs for under $10, but these X-Power come in the identical-sized case as Kyosho and are ready to go. Highly recommended.

The batteries I tried needed only a little foam to work but don't have the punch of Kyosho batteries.

thanks for all the positive feedback guys! the X-Power is currently THE battery to use... output is higher, runtime is longer.... i've also got a new charger that will allow you to discharge/charge at only 90% capacity stay tuned!

probably not... i'm getting a sample in next week. 32T/34T Spur Gears will be in tomorrow evening. i always get samples and do some testing for myself before i stock new items. there are several new things i've got coming in to try including: Ceramic Ball Bearings, Ceramic Diff Balls (Black/White), Charger (as already mentioned) and Lamborghini Revention ASC (this is a maybe... pricing is a bit too high but the bodies are beautiful... reply to this thread if you think you might want one of these - pic included).

Sweet looking bodies! I'm guesing that the high price has something to do with the detailed interior on the static display. I too wonder about actually useing this body as it looks like the doors, hood, and rear deck open??

Hmm after looking at this ASC I noticed there's some tape on them, is there any moving parts on them like doors ? If yes, will they be able to race ??
Thanks

I would love one of the Orange Lamborghini Revention ASC's. They are beautiful.
By the way, A big thank you to Q'on for all of your assistance in ordering all the correct parts for my McLaren. He is great to do business with.
