My first xmods paint job...
So here it is... i went to the HS and was looking at some T-MAXX for sell... and there it was... Tamiya hobby paint... so i figured what the heck lets see what they got... my girl basically is the only one that drives the 05 mustang that i bought from yenkosc... and she wanted to change the color since it was kinda scratched up (as my firebird is starting to appear)... haha she picked out a horrible color... but now i'm gonna paint hers up... heres some before photos... thats what it's looking like tonight... i'll have it all preped by 12 midnight tonight... decided to go with an off-center stripe in the original blue... then run with her choice in color... so heres the before pictures... sorry about the quality... i have a POS mini digital camera....

sorry for the bumpage...
so sorry for bumping my own post but im updating to the last post... i got the mustang all taped up yesterday night... and sanded down the mustang today... its officially primered and ready for paint... i cant wait to get it painted... but i promissed my girl she could lay down the first layers... so at about 9.00pm she'll show back up to the dorm and start laying it down... in a bit i'll upload the primered shots of the mustang...
by the way... those are my girlfriends bedsheets... not mine... that purple (looks pink in the pic) would never make it on my bed...

Nice
Very nice. I wouldn't worry about the bump people only care about that if you bumped a thread like "OMG I GOT TEH SUPER MOD" and the rule almost does not apply to bumping your own thread with such a nice update.
Keep up the great work.

Out of curiosity, how do you guys sand all the tiny crevices and hard to reach spots? I've tried searching and no one really gives good detailed tips on sanding, just painting. That paintjob looks awesome too!

hey thanks mitchell...
Ken77... i just used smaller pieces of sand paper and carefully, and i mean carefully, sanded any of the little nooks and crannies that i thought would affect the quality of the paint (which were more than a few)... otherwise you could probably buy a jewlers file and hope not to sand too much using that... ive gotten a few from hobby shops that were good quality for only like 3 dollars...
