Need an opinion
Okay, someone listen to my situation and then give me some advice, some guidance, your opinon or whatever you want to call it.
I have my '06 Mustang that I have performed many upgrades on so that it can drag race. Those upgrades would be: - (blue) Stiff springs in the rear
- (red) Soft springs up front
- Positioned battery compartment as far back as possible to the rear wheels
- Removed the Mustang and Hot Rod emblems to lighten up the car
- 40 thousand, 50 thousand or maybe 60 thousand rpm motor
- Removed the headlights and turn signals from the front grill/bumper to reduce the car's weight
Now, I have just recently hot-glued a metal weight from a small airsoft pistol over the rear wheels inside the Mustang body. And all I want to know is if that would be enough weight over the rear wheels to make this car a sufficient dragster. And yes, your opinions are much valued.

You'd have to try it, and see if your tires hook. If they spin too much, then it wouldn't be enough weight. You might want to try softer compound tires on the rears (I'm assuming this isn't an awd drive, since it's your all out dragster), and try to heat them up by spinning them on the floor, like real dragsters do in order to get traction before you launch. Actually, if you can get your tires to hook with a softer compound tire, you might try removing the weights to see if you can get traction without it.
You may also want to try a LiPo battery pack, which will both reduce weight and provide more voltage to your motor, which in turn will make it go faster.

That would be a great mod for my car. But, unfortunately, I don't have the funds to do that right now. Or at least I won't to do that until I graduate in 9 days. Hmm, which do I want to spend my graduation money on more, an actual car (lookin' @ an MG Midget, a 1960-something Plymouth stationwagon or a Chevy Astro Van) or a faster Xmod? Ah, decisions, decisions...
