I think he means that that race site has too many rules...
As for surfaces, I don't know if I have 10x10 area of carpet. Most of my house is hardwood, and other people will have different surfaces too. Should we make a rule that the race has to be on carpet, hardwood, or cement? If we did, some people would have to sit out on some races. Maybe it should just be where ever you have room.
I've got 4 tracks drawn up. Sorry for the huge pictuers. LMK if you have anymore designs, these were the only ones I could come up with for a 10x10 area. Lane widths are 2.5 feet.
I only drew them in paint, so they arn't semitrical at all, but you get the idea.

well... the track surface is gonna make a BIG difference... its the difference between rally racing and street racing... you know? so i think if we cant keep it at the same surface we should mention what surface we are using when reporting our times? would that help any?
btw... i'll post pictures of my new 6 cell and what i did in the proper spot later... i need to get my lil camera out and what not... give me a few hours...

Very true. This is getting more complicated than I thought.
I don't have a 10x10 area of carpet, so I'd have to sit thoes races out. What do you guys have?

Hmm... well I can do hardwood for all of them, and carpet and cement for track 4 that's 10x5. (I'll see if there's 10x10 in my basement.)
I'd have to sit quite a few out.
Hows this schedule?
Run each track on hardwood or lynolium.(I think of hardwood and lynolium as the same surface type sort of) Every other week. (4 races, 8 weeks)
Run each track on carpet. Every other week. (4 races, 8 weeks)
Run each track on concrete. Every other week. (4 races, 8 weeks)
If each race was every other week. That would be 24 weeks. A full season.
Points as fallows possibly.
1st- 20 pts
2nd-15 pts
3rd- 12 pts
4th- 10 pts
5th- 8 pts
6th- 6 pts
7th- 5 pts
8th- 4 pts
9th- 3 pts
10th- 2 pts
11th and below- 1 pt.
All assuming there will be less than 15 participants.
?????

But guys, what if someone can't get piping or a track of some sort? I can think of many ways to cheat( like i would.) Half the people with xmods are generally good with computers, so they could use photoshop to edit there timestamps. not to burst anyone's bubble or anything=p

well if you feel like you are gonna cheat... im sorry to hear that... either way... i know that half the fun is beating your own times when doing it... and pvc piping is cheap... just buy a lil at a time if you cant afford to pick it up all at the same time... and if you were born in 86, that'd make you around 20 years old... so i'd really hope you've grown above cheating on something like this... haha... either way... its all about having some fun... as for zz... sounds like you got the ideas for the schedule and what not... i'm in whenever we get this thing started... i just gotta go to the hardware store and pick up some piping...

Anti- You don't have to use piping, you could use some rope, or wood. Anything you can find around the house. There's no specific rule on what the track has to be made out of, just that it's the right size.
Why question if your going to cheat? Just go and race. I think we will be able to tell if your cheating. The timing is going to be pretty crude. It's not a big competition, just some friendly racing across country
