Question gear reduction

This might be a noob questoin but how do you get gear reduction
on a zz?? also how do u lift it??thx..

thx but it didn't really tell me how to gear down on a 1st gen zip
never mind...i looked at the adding another tranfer gear. any more help would be nice

Adding another transfer gear should help. There's not much room to work with on a zz, but I think you can fit it on there. Make sure you have good gear mesh too.

What do you want to lift? The body or overall ground clearance?

more ground clearance would be nice.
I will try and put the new transfer gear on the bottom for more lift.
Wouldn't i have to put in 2 new gears though so it will spin the same way??

You could slow it down to crawl by doing a mod that I was credited the idea, which ZipZap Monster Truck Gearbox Using a ZZ SE Steering Servo.
