Wow that’s great that u are also into BEAM. The reason I got interested with zz is because of BEAM. I thought I could make a cool photovere out of it. I did not because zz's only have one motor for movement.

I've seen a circuit around that turns a reg zip or clone into a photovore. I think I have it somewhere. It used the stock motor drive and magnetic steering setup.
I to first saw Zips and other micros as parts sources for BEAM, but soon found that the motors used are very low quality. One of the easiest speed and torque mods you can do to any ZIP would be to replace the motors with more efficient ones. I have Port Escap motors out in the shop I imported from Germany that are super efficient, but I haven't put one in a Zip yet as they cost 23.00 each. But, I do have some motors I got out of scrap that are very good too and i plan to use them in some upcoming mods.

Can u tell me where the voltage regulator is on SE and where did u find the transistor thing u were talking about Azimov?

I don't know where the voltage regulator is and wouldn't screw with it anyways. The transistor mod was done by PH2T, I think, as well as other versions I've seen, and you'd have to search for it around the forums. It's basically the "turbo" mod Jazz was talking about that's housed on a seperate board from the main board.
But, I'm not sure why you want to make an MT out of an SE. Why not just put the SE board into a MT and use a really efficient motor or gearmotor to replace the MT cheap motor? Or how about using a second SE steering servo to drive the thing? You'd have a very slow torquey crawler. Again, you could replace the stock motors with more efficient pager motors and get more bang out of it as well.
