I used #8 lead shot, it had to be slightly deformed to get it to fit correctly. (that's a lot of shot to squish to fill four rims) And since I did the reverse offset mod, I made plastic "hubcaps" so after mounting rims, I was able to fill the entire "inside" part of the rim, then tack the hubcap on and have a bloody heavy truck.

Lead or Steel Shot is normally used for shooting (shotgun), but good luck getting a small quantity. You'd either have to buy a box of shot-shells and disassemble one (and safely dispose of the parts you don't need), or buy a 25 lb bag of shot.

Maybe you should look into using Solder instead...

hmm i guess i'm not gonna be usin it then hmm. i had thought about solder and i have heard other ppl use it but it really isn't that heavy. i also had thought about clay but i cant find any heavy clay. if only someone could reproduce the rims but in steel then they would be heavy and neat.

frizzen and silentracer--

I picked up a pill bottle full of shot at Gander Mountian in the firearms department here in Terre Haute. Presumably other gun shops would have bulk shot. I lucked out because a bag of shot in a bin had been broken and they were willing to give me the loose shot at no cost. It might be worth a try in Indy and Connecticut.

Sometime back on this forum, Steve worked on molding/casting some lead ZZMT wheels--run a search for his threads.
