hi im painting my supra candy red so in order to do that i needed to paint it silver first so that it will shine thru the candy red but im not sure about the rims.......should i paint the spokes candy red and paint the rest black??
or should i jus leave it the way it is or paint the whole thing candy red
I think a gunmetal color on the wheels would set off that candy apple color well. Here's a Mini Z body I just done in candy blue over silver with gunmetal alloy wheels. All the paint used was Tamiya sprays, some of there new ones like the pearl clearcoat. That pearl clear has to be seen in person to be believed.
Just a note on using candy or transparent colors, with the silver base apply one or two light coats of clear (I used standard clear here) on it to seal it. Then you can use the transparent colors. If you don't use the clear coats on the silver the transparent color will look lumpy.
