I just posted new pics of my electrical system. The thing is finally nice and clean, although the motor connector isn't fitted for the new wiring layout. Check it out in the gallery. Makes changing out battery configurations a snap + allows for going from stock power train to the fastest 130 setup you can find within 5 minutes.
Plus I ordered some spare parts to clean up scratched/worn suspension parts. My poor, worn out tex chassis is making me sad, though. I should have saved it for track racking only, as it's already showing carbon fiber in some spots.

where does the receiver sit after the Extreme conversion mod?
and
how much space is between the top and bottom plates where the batteries go?
Thanks
I am considering getting this chassis or the SwitchBlade from Atomicmods

Chassis standoffs
Anyone know where to get standoffs like the ones that the CF chassis' have? I need to cut some of new length, but I can't find them in that particular size - 2-56-sized (been to the requisite electronics parts stores). Closest I've gotten is some aluminum (and aluminum is OK) male-female ones that have too little threading, forcing me to cut and join them with epoxy, which I'd like to avoid.

the best thing for the stand offs is thick plastic tubing.
You can cut it to lenght and you can screw right into it.
you can pickup the metal standoffs at radio snack.
tower hobbies has the plastick ones

I can't quite tell what size the RS ones are (they don't have them at my local one...gotta go a few RSs over to a bigger one), but the look too short, anyway. I couldn't quite find what I was looking for at Tower (although given their organizational system, they might be on there under helicopter accessories with no size). I also went by Fry's, which surprisingly didn't even have motherboard standoffs in stock. I'm probably just gonna wind up finding somewhere on the internet that has it and doesn't make you request a quote first.
