Order a longer driveshaft from either RS or decals-r-us (DRU has CF shafts, no stock ones). I saw an F150 body that fit on a MiniZ.

I have a Chevy S-10 Blazer body I'm in the process of building but I think I might have thrown the front-end away... If anyone finds a way to make it fit let me know. Thanks...

You can build a whole starter kit by ordering parts from Radioshack, but it'll be a bit more than buying the starter kit yourself. Every single part that's on a starter kit is available on special order.

WHY

What is the deal here the F-150 is one of the most butt-ugly trucks out there, why not go with the much faster Dodge RAM SRT-10. or go affordable and better quality with the Chevy Silverado SS.

The fact that F-150 Lightnings are still quicker, and that some people have gotten them into the 10 second range, and the fact that F-150s are the best-selling VEHICLE in the US for 30-something years speaks for itself, but I'll go on.

The SRT-10 not only is 20 grand more than a Lightning, but it also cannot be used as a pickup. Its payload is horrible, and it literally can't tow anything. The Lightning can tow 5500 pounds with ease, and can be used as a pickup if need be. The Roush F-150 makes 400hp and can also be used for towing and other pickup truck things, and the Ram still can't.

Faster... better quality... affordable??? Remember, we're talking about xmod bodies.... The whole thing about f-150 being "butt-ugly" is YOUR opinion. Everyone else might like the look.

Don't get him started . I'm a ford person myself, but i thought the toyota camry was the best selling vehicle? Anyways, sorry if i took the thread off track a bit.

The camry is the best-selling car. The F-150 out sells it by a bit. I used to know someone that had a Lightning (1st year of the 2nd gen), and used it to move his furniture when he moved! He told me one time, he just gave it a little too much gas getting onto the local highway, and left about 5% of his tread behind.

Have you ever?

Have you guys ever driven the SRT-10, i have it is way better than the lightning and it has alot mor expandibility, i work at i car wash and have gotten drive both the lightning and the SRT-10, also the srt-10 has alot nicer interior and it come in a stick. and as for towing there is a four door version of the SRT-10 coming out in a year that will come with an automatic and there will be alot more torgue and alot better towing, not to mention why would one buy a performance truck to tow things with. if you want towing get a Suburban, i have one and it can haul 8000lbs without even breaking a sweat

Well, the Quad Cab is already out, and there are no plans for an auto. Whoopdeedo, it comes in a stick, but it can't be used like a truck.

Why would I buy a performance truck to haul stuff around in? If the SRT-10 can't be used as a pickup, for the same 50k, I can buy a vette that outhandles, outbrakes, outaccelerates, outruns, and has a nicer interior, and it holds 2 people just like the Ram SRT-10 regular cab.

Yes a Suburban is a great towing vehicle, but the F-150 outtows it (the non-lightning F-150). The great thing about the Lightning is that I know quite a few people who have ones that are much faster than stock, tow their racecar to the track, AND THEN RUN THE LIGHTNING AND THE CAR. There's this chick in Houston who has a very fast '03 Cobra, and she has a Lightning (matching colors), and will tow the Cobra to the track with the Lightning and run both. You might be able to tow a go-kart with the Ram...

wrong

of course the F-150 is better than the base suburban without the towing package, try comparing it to the Z71 or the 3500 with quardrasteer, it would make it turn like it is a little Honda
