I ruined mine. . .

Hi,
Can someone tell me if I ruined the rechargables inside my SS? I thought I would discharge the battery before recharge. I turned the car upside down and let it run down the battery. I did not go until completely dead but I probably drained it significantly. Now when I try to use the car it barely goes and sometimes does not respond. I have tried double charging, I have tried new AAA's in the charge, nothing helps. Do you think I trashed the battery by over-discharging? Does anyone know if the rechargables inside are NiCd or NiMH? Also, I greased the gears and that seemed to create even more performance loss. I feel like an ID10T.

lol. i did the same thing too. i think your not supposed to drain the batteries completly out. i always do it cause thats what you were supposed to do back like a couple years ago. all i did was change motors and for some reason that worked. later

I figured it was a nicd battery and that I would be reducing the short memory by doing this. I guess we can say DON'T DO THIS! hehe.

yeah. so in the furture should ya just charge the thing when it slows down or wait til it stops? later
