Problem

I got a ZipZap a long time ago, but never used it. I decided to open it a week or so ago, but there is a problem with it. It will run fine without the body on it, but when I put the body on, it won't move. Anyone have any idea on what could be going wrong here? I have the RX-8.

Also, I'm a noob, so I don't know how to install a better battery. How would I do this, and which one should I get?

hmmmmmmm.... the body is probabley scraping one or more of the wheels, or gears. the SE battery is 2.4 volts, which is double than the regluar, so if u put that one in a "normal" zz, it should run twice as fast. but u will have to charge it on a SE controller. hope that helps.

I double checked, and the body isn't touching any of the tires or gears.

mabye the body is somehow touching a wire, an exposed one, and its getting shorted out. besides that, i have no clue. try a different body, that might work.

No exposed wires from what I can tell. I don't have any other bodies at the moment. I'm thinking about driving down to RS to pick up the 2f2f Skyline and S2000.

Would having crappy gears have anything to do with it? I've got the blue gears, and a orange motor.

if the gears or motor are messed up, then it would not run anyway, it doesnt matter about the body. is the body tight on the car? mabye its when you clip it on, it squeezes the body, espesialy where the two tabs are.

The body isn't really that tight on the car. I was thinking that I might need some new gears because the body was too heavy or something.

Also, I realize that I wasn't that clear with my innitial statement. It only will move with the body on it when I give it a nice nudge to get it moving.
