Is the micro craze dieing?
Is it me or are most of the 1/24th cars here discontinued? Other than the mini z & WWS, which 1/24th racers are still in production with parts support?
Thanks

Yeah. I like the epoch as well. But my hobby shop races 1/24th. Mini z's or whatever you have 1/24th. But it looks like the Mini z is the only car that you can get parts for now & in the future. The WWS looks very nice. But judging from the activity on the WWS forums, I dought they will be around to long & fall into the same status of discontinued.
I guess if I could find a pan car which accepts Mini Z parts Id be in luck.
Which car can use the most Mini z parts & options? The tripmate M24? Activ?
Starting to look like I need to buy a used Mini Z & do the upgrade game.

A 'craze' only becomes a craze when you know about it.
The marketing of a product can only go so far on word-of-mouth and not everyone subscribes to RC magazines so aderts in those only reach people already in the hobby.
So, right off the bat this limits it.
Then take into consideration the costs involved, depending on which product you go with, as well as available of parts/accessories/upgrades.
In the end, in my opinion, it's not about the Micro craze dieing (I think people are always gonna be interested in the hobby), it's about who's got the staying power. And I think it's safe to say the Mini-Z and Xmods are a couple of examples of things we can likely expect to be around for some time to come.

i think the only way that it will "die" is that if we let it die if people stick with it it wont die. i myself have walked away from micro's twice but came back a month or two later with new ideas and new projects.
