my 1/24 offroad project

well originally i started off wanting a rock crawler out of this but since i already have a modified tlt i decided to make just a plain old offroad truck. 4x4 of course. So far ive got the rear axle, electronics, and center transmission. Im waiting on an order of U joints and gears and i can start on the front end. heres some pics of the rear axle. Its worm gear driven with lego axles so i can use lego wheels and u joints. all the white parts are made of copper.

looks good so far. Will it be sorta like a MT or a ST? Where have you been by the way?

yeah i have been away from my rc toys for a while. i was sick for a few days there and then had two class trips to go on so the flood of makeup work and regular work combined with all my teachers trying to finish everything they have planned before we get out for christmas has eaten up most of my personal free time. I had been planning this project since about a year after i got into rc real heavy and finally got around to having enough time to start. Still unclear of if i will finish or when. As for your question it will resemble alot of the trucks down here in mississippi. Lifted with suspension good enough for small level rock crawling but most are only used for general offroad purposes.

Im not sure if it is popular in some of the northern states but mud riding is a very popular past time here in mississippi. Just about every weekend you can find people down at our local "track" as they call it. Its basically a swamp called "MUD LAND" with a fence around it and a plywood sign. Admission is only 5 bucks a car for as long as you want and atvs and dirtbikes get in free (mostly because they wont be able to stay in long before they have to be winched out) anyway i want to be able to go threw mud and high inclines with this truck.

it will have xmod electronics because i already have some not being used and because their propo.
