Right, he's runnin' 4 li-ions in series on a speed checker. Your nitro truck is probably actually clocking 45 on the ground. Huge difference in actual power there. The cells and motor are set up to give that xmod super high RPM's, but when that thing is forced to accelerate the mass of the xmod(torque), it will draw waaaaay more current than when it was rolling on the speed checker. Then you'll see the true colors of the cells, the FET's, and the motors ability to output power. The speed checker only shows you half of the equation.

Speed x Torque = Power(in physics/dc motors)

Voltage x Current = Power(in electronics/dc motors)

Voltage = Speed(in dc motors)

Current = Torque(in dc motors)

So it goes to show that if you only have speed checker data, you're still not evaluating the power of your xmod. You only know how fast it goes under no load whatsoever(except for xmod's drive-train).

So to analogize a "45mph xmod" as being as powerful as a "45mph nitro truck" is poor at best. Nitro motors have loads of torque; torque to push the weight of the R/C throughout its whole RPM range, and have torque to spare on throwing some dirt. That's good power there.

i cant even come close to understanding why people are hating on mnm... i mean he built this car using his own skill, whats wrong with that? i constantly see viperkiller dissing on other people but i havent seen anything hes done... honestly dont be jealous of some1 and hate just cause u cant do what they did... hey mnm if it counts i think your car ownz...

also with the speed checker business, people use their speed checker reading to compare speed with others,jshwaa what u said is true but not every1 has an engineering degree (i dont and i still get it ) but the point is peple say how fast their speed checker reading is to give others an idea of how fast their xmod can go.

final issue is with the rice rockets, im pretty sure viperkiller said something that people waste their money into their cars, but id personaly rather modify my car to set it appart form the rest, i mean why have something that u can see everyday, it why i custom engineered my bike, to be unique
