Yes I meant performance wise for the optoisolator.
It rawks. Gotta get a motor that can maximize it.

Well the Ferrari has found a new home and from what I hear has hit the track running, now equipped with a PN Racing SO2 motor which sounds like a good choice for a small track, it¡¦s new owner says he¡¦s very happy with it. I hope it continues to live up to it¡¦s potential.

BTW, I have MUCH less weight and a 1:1 ratio, which means I could top 70. Let me add one more thing: you can get a very low wind brushless and smoke any brushed motor.
You do realize that the 60mph 8000kv Mamba Mini-T was running a 14.8v Li-Poly pack right? And what are you talking about, 1:1 ratio? You're gonna accelerate slower than my 400BB Mini-T if you plan on going with a 1:1 gear ratio Also, if you do plan on going to a brushless Mini-T, I would get a ball differential, titanium turnbuckles, and 1/10th scale ball studs and rod ends. Otherwise my will pass by you if you don't beef it up

Also, I must add a 5800kv bl motor is about that of a 20 turn brushed motor, so a 8000kv motor is about that of a 8 turn motor. And with today's no motor limit esc's, an 8 turn motor in a Mini-T is very possible.

Do you realize that that speed was recorded on the ground and an Xmod weighs a ton less than a T? Do you also realize that because of its sheer light weight, and because of the brushless, this thing will be no slouch off the line?

Edit: You are wrong. An 8000 did 60 on 3 li-pos. Want proof? http://www.castlecreations.com/docum...ambaSetups.pdf

When I emailed Castle Creations, they said they used a 4 cell lithium pack on their prototype, but I don't believe it was a Mamba 25 esc, but was a Mamba 8000kv motor. This was of course right when news hit for a 60mph Mini-T...

Yeah I have both an XMod and Mini-T, and the XMod is definately lighter, but just make youself more clear as to what vehicle you are talking about when you post. You were talking about the Mini-T, then went to an XMod. Speaking of XMods, wanna buy mine? I hate it!

No, I don't want your Xmod, and if so, then why does their PDF state otherwise? BTW, you should sell the T. Associated is coming out with a much better 1:18 R/C, which comes stock with bearings, oil shocks, a 6 cell pack, and AWD for 159.

I'm sure that in the PDF they're talking about their production esc and motor. I can't rmember what esc they used to test the motor out though, before the esc's were made....

I dont want to sell my T, but I just might if their truck is a lot better (and why wouldn't it be) but I might just keep both for a variety in 1/18th truck racing.
