how many volts can the circutry on these cars can take,i see someone hi 55mph with 16v,anyone know the absolute max? my goal is to eventually get one of these things at 70mph,but that would take probably 24v,a heatsink made for computer and themal epoxy the right motor gearing mosfet ect

edit:i saw another thread saying 8.4 is absolute max,but the 55mph thread claims to have put 16v through it,could someone verify please,i need to know what im working with before i jump in

8.4 volts is max on the pcb. the guy running the 16 volts is probably using a 5v regulator(v1 board that is availible on atomicmods). so 5 volts goes the his esc and the rest goes to the motor.

hes probably useing the regulator mod with litiums over volted along with an insane fet stack you could also ad external fets bigger cappacitor on motor necssary andof course super glue the tire also try to double up you tires to get slightly mot top end and youll need awd unless your on the speed testerbecause to control it youll need all wheel drive but on the speed tester it would just be leaching power but what the fun in having a dyno queen you cant put the power to the ground propper so you might as wel drive a civic if thats all you can get to the ground without massive wheelspin
