I had no problems with the fiber chassis per sae. I just don't like the outer aaa battery slots. They complicate li-poly battery placement.
If you use a stainless steel or aluminum rear deck like I do, you will need spacers to take up the battery clips thickness since they aren't used.

For some reason I couldnt get the alignment straight on the bearing that holds the drive axel in the front (the yellow piece of plastic that is supposed to be held in by the nylon screw) and because of that the gears were binding.

Mine squared up perfectly. The carbon fiber chassis is very nice. I replaced self tapping screws on the plastic parts to secure stainless steel bumpers. I used delrin this time. If they are too fragile, I'll use 2-56 hex head bolts.

The next shipment to the shop will be the X-Frame version 1.5. All the components will be the beefier 1.5mm CF. This should really limit the front end lateral flex when using those special winds at insane speeds. Hope you have your alloy cups fitted............

What is the thickness of the current CF chassis and app. when will the new chassis be in the shop. Will you be offering both chassis or will the new one replace the old.

Both the old and new main chassis components are the same, 1.5mm thick CF. The new release has all of its parts made from the 1.5mm CF. This is especially criticial for the front lower suspension plate and top front deck. This should make the suspension do all the work and keep the front end chassis from having any lateral flex.
Of course if you're using stock motors, this isn't such a critical improvement. But if you're into the Nuke or V12 or R-tune........

Thanks for the info. Yes I'm running a NML stage 11 and the other motor I have is the V12 with Li-Ion's. Any estimates on when the new chassis upgrades will be in the shop.

Hey Do you Make Rear CF decks yet? i was wondering because there was another site with CF stuff but this site is WAY cheaper and i just wanted to know if u made the Rear decks for xmods
And i saw some stuff on this other site where u have a body guard
Its where u have a front bumper type thing attached to the chassis come out in front of your wheels and protects ur xmod
go to
This is what im talking about
and it screws on right under the body clip
they have it for the rear but not on that site
the rear -it just screws under the car and into the rear towers the first screws
Note: I think extended screws WILL be needed-Not sure yet

oo when do u think they will be ready and will be up for sale?
And is it true that when carbon fiber if it is less then 1 mm it will be flimsy?

The first release of this chassis is in the shop now
The 1.5 will be several weeks away
1.0mm is still pretty rigid, lower and I don't know, never worked with any CF less than 1.0mm
