Heres a tip for buildings thats quick and easy...

MILK CARTONS! All sizes upto 1/2 gallon.

All you have to do is painthem and then glue them into position.

Nah, all the buildings in Bit City will have 1st floor interiors, besides that just would be a little tacky.
