Yes, mid-engine, rear wheel drive. They are called MR-2 in the US, I just prefer the J-spec name MR-S, esp. since that's what the badges on my old one said (and new will soon). However, the MR in MR-2 or MR-S stands for Midship Runabout 2-seater/Spyder, not MR as in FR/FF/MR etc.
The 6-speed Sequential Manual Transmission is so much fun!

Too bad has a 1zz...small motor.. I can't wait until toyota either gets some sense to bring the 3SGTE to America or uses a 2zzfe in the MRS.
