geocities can be used as a wizard, but he is not utilising it. And yes, you can import html into it.

i use tripod hosting... but not the free version...

the 24.99/month version

ditch the free hosting and get a domain. domains don't cost much (around 10 or 20 dollars) and i dont know of any problems that can arise from them... like you've claimed. i've owned around 20 in my life...

so you know html? i would still reccomend Microsoft frontpage. the only thing that i see about using a domain name is the maintainance and keeping it secure, especially for a small business.

yea, i had a domain name too, but problems did arise. So i cancelled it, as well as my site, it was very popular too.

I still have people IM'ing me on AIM saying
"WHAT HAPPENED TO your site!!!"

Ill just stick with geocities for now. And HTML is the easiest thing to learn in the world.

you can register a quality .com name and just forward it to your "cool" geocities account for less then your mom gives you for lunch money in a week.

serious yo. how is it any different? it's just you type a shorter name to get to your site. that's it. plus if you actually pay for the hosting, you can ditch those crappy ugly ads all over the place.

Damn.... I'm 14 too but that site really looks bad... Really bad. Here is a site I helped design for my friend http://www.tinsanity.net . Most of it is in flash and php (which I coded myself ) And I'm currently working on another one for myself. I can help you if you want. I have a couple prety nice layouts that are *different* from the rest...
