Well I can't drag this one because if I hammer the throttle, it just spins out. The rear end goes right from underneath it. You have to feather the throttle to have any control at all. I let my girlfriend drive it and she spun the pinion gear right off the motor. Did I mention it has allot of power? LOL

im not sure if they make them for a racer but to stop the spining out you could buy some alloy parts to weigh it down.

Have you not looked at the car?
Click on the link in my last post and have a look.
The car is all alloy.

rlc77- that mini z is awesome!
Anyway, I also started getting kinda bored with my xmod so I got something completely different. It's 1/18 scale. All I can say is that out of my 5 rc cars which range anywhere from my xmod, to 1/10 electric touring, gas touring, to gas truck, I think this new monster is probably the most fun. It's wayyy faster than my xmod because it uses a 540 size motor. Also it's got tons of torque for wheelies on demand. It's got 4 link suspension with awesome articulation. If you're looking for something different then I highly recommend one of these. Best of all since it's only 1/18 scale, it can easily be run indoors. I set up a little obstacle course in our apartment even.

vtec.....That's a sweet truck. I'm not much into off roading anymore. I'm a pavement junky. But if I were I would be getting me one of those. Thanks for the props on the Z. It's my baby.

Yeah, but if you run the tire into the object instead of trying to drive over it the 4-link suspension will help you get right up it and over.

Mini-Ts are awesome. I think you'll be happier than with an Overland.

well i went to my LHS today and saw that they had a mini T and the mini Z monster truck and all i have to say is: DAMN THOSE THINGS ARE TINY! but anyway, i got some bigger ball cups, antenna tube, and a new speed control. im happy with it so far, its a Traxxas XL-1, although it has no braking feature its better than a slow servoed MSC (mecanical speed control). and how is the 2.5 T-MAXX i almost convinced my dad to get "us" one. it has all i really need. electric start, 4WD more ride height than my buggy, reverse, 2 speed tranny, lots of hop ups. etc... is a pull start better or worse than an electic start. its just gonna be a toy and im not concerned with weight. are there any cheaper alternatives with a 4WD, nitro, reverse, 2 speed tranny?

Well, having electric start is nicer b/c then you don't need a glow plug heater.

ok, do pull started nitros start like my go kart? where i have to prime it and pull the cord at least 5 times to get it to start. although on some really hot days i get it to start the 2nd time. and doesnt the electric motor drain the reciever pack? or does it have its own pack?

Electric start runs on a battery that's on a thing that you plug in, so no juice drain. Completely different than starting a lawn mower or go-kart. Your Go-Kart I suspect is 4 stroke. Nitro is 2 stroke. Also, you need to heat this thing called a glow plug, which igintes the gas like a spark plug, but doesn't use electricity. You have to heat it, then the motor keeps it warm enough to keep running. You'll replace a lot of those. You pull the cord differently also. Instead of pulling it as far as you can, you pull short, fast stokes, otherwise you'll break the cord. Electric start is easier, and you'll have way more fun if you have it.
