Hey i got my xmods as a present and its not working properly? how can i exchange it for a new one at radio shack without a reciept?

You could explain that it was a gift and they might exchange it for you.

Or, you could buy the same model repack your broken one and than return it for a refund with the new receipt. Make sure your broken one is in sellable condition excepting the problem it has.

i was able to return my xmod for a new one and w/o a reciept.

Yeah, I thought that whole "It's not in a resell-able form" deal was kind of funny. When I got my xmod, right out of the box it wasn't "resell-able". It had 4 wires unsoldered and the on/off switch wasn't there... let alone anywhere on the car, and this was just out of the box. Me and the RS manager had an argument but as usual he was more than happy to give me a refund.

At any of the shacks you can return an Xmod, besides they are the only ones who sell it so they can't say it's not theirs. Anyhow in most cases the employees are able to understand and will exchange or even refund the XMod as long as the electronics where not changed. Broken yes modified no. If they refuse you can always do the aboved mentioned.
