the only way that you will ever need a wing is if your gonna be going around a 90 degree corner at over 70 mph and the next person that i see with a wing on a front wheel drive car i am gonna slap think about it. press down on the back of your x mod with your finger where will the fron of it go ...................up front wheel drive + down force on rear = loss of traction on front and more drag and any ways the only reason the parking brake was invented was for DrIfTiNg around the closed K mart parking lot till the cops come and break us up. oh yea the person that mentioned if some one says taht it adds power they are lieing that is totaly true it is really a wanna be attempt to make a 3 cylinder Dihatsu feel faster but if you know some one that street races and they say that the wing actually helps just laugh at them and say what ever un less there car is just really ugly with out the wing on it . there are some cars taht just look good with a small spoiler on it and not not one that sticks 3-5 feet in the air

Jeez I would hate to try to park a manual car before that invention.

Or try to parallel park on a slope.

ok mr. physics major, then explain to me why several front drive cars have functional spoilers

even though they are FWD, the difference in air pressure above and beneath the car causes rear lift, and even though you may not think so, rear grip is still an issue. excessive rear lift will cause ample oversteer, and the car will spin, possibly flip even if it is going fast enough. FWD cars benefit from a small wing, a front splitter, and diffusers. if your claim was true, there would be no use for massive wings on the WC RSX's and Spec-V's. you may want to research before shooting your mouth off.
