combat digiq's QC is bad!
Yesterday i bought a type 90 combat digiq starter set.
When I come home,I find my type 90 can't charge,
it always display CH (OK),when I put it to charge.
I am very unhappy.I think it maybe the battery problem.
Then I open combat digiq to find out what happened.
Surprised when I move the battery from its position,
and push the R/C to forward position, the wheel move very fast.
But when I put the battery set(two battery in series) to its original
position,the tank stop working.
it means:The wire connect between the battery + - and the PCB + - isn't very stable.
The PCB +- is good conduct,so I check the battery +-,the wire only
click on the battery +-,not soldered.
So I use solder to fix it.
Finally,I can enjoy the tank battle.
(I own type 74 too.)
It took me more than one hours.

You should have just sent it back, because the problem couldnt have been simple like that. And if you screwed anything up you would be out about 30 dollars. But thankfully you were able to fix it. Im sorry to hear about your problem. All of my tanks as you have probably heard have been fine so it was just your luck to get a defective! Have fun with your tanks

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....dont chop up or blow them up, I will buy the parts off you if you dont want them. If they are not painted, or have any mods done to them, I will take them(the tanks that is)

battery problems?
I have rejuvenated several tanks, just by replacing the two NiMH cells. They run better than new.

If it wouldnt be much of a hassle, please post the link to where you found the 2 cell batteries. I think i might just get a couple spares for when the 2gen batts die out!
