My goal is simple. To put a remote video transmitter into a small RC car or truck and be able to drive it around my house looking through the TV up in my room. Basically I just want to chase my cats around.
Here are the requirements:
-Small enought to fit under and through household obstacles. i.e under the couch.
-Good off road ability. Has to clear carpet edges, tile breaks, speaker wires, etc.
-Most importantly is the range of the controller. It must be able to go 100 feet or more away because I will be upstairs and it will be downstairs.
-Preferably a vehicle with headlights for nighttime or a headlight accesory. I will use little flashlight if I have to. (night safari

)
-Also it has to fit the 9 volt battery of the video transmitter and the tiny camera. (lens is about 1/3 the size of a 9 volt battery)
I didn't want to spend a bunch of money and find out it will just be out of range. The frontrunner right now is a Mini-Z Overland, but I have only read about mini-z's and don't know if it will be good. I also am considering a radio shack XMOD because of the good suspension, but they have poor ground clearance and I don't know about the range. Any suggestions?
