Steering chatter after 5th cell mod!!!
...finally broke down n' did the 5th cell mod. Anyways, anybody experience any steering servo chatter afterward...my steering box sounds like a pack of rabbid-carnivorous squirrels!!!

yep
This is normal. It should only do it for a couple/few seconds after you turn it on though. If it does it longer, then something may be wrong....btw I'm running 6-cells.

Mine did this for maybe 5 minutes into the first run and then stopped. Don't let it chatter for any long periods of time, when it starts chattering nudge the wheel.
Any one know what causes this?

I have a feeling that it starts chattering because its trying to center itself too much. I've done a 6 cell mod but I've had no problems like this.

My civic chasis chattered with 6 cells and then I ran in with the spin brush motor..it hauled total ass for about 3 minutes..then went up in smoke..literally (steering was fried..range cut to 3 feet). I got a slightly used supra chasis from RS and bought the body off them for $3.50 and now I am running that. I am very hesitant to try it again with the supra.. I am very lucky I even got a new Xmod.
