No thanks, in 2D I'm fine, only issues I've had so far are in the file transfers and I finally understand what the heck I did.

It's easy to stray away from the thread, but you 2 are out on the High Speed freeway, Kinda interesting though but belongs in another thread, perhaps?

Hey, be sure to vote on whether you want to slot the bottom for the battery clips........Battery Clip Slots

I dont like how the front diff for the AWD kit is exposed like that, i see major problems with that, with hair, dirt and so on.

Yep, a concern of mine too, the issue is one of those compromises I talked about earlier. In order to keep it light, I wanted to use the 1mm CF and not the 1.5mm CF. The thicker the chassis, the more rigid, the heavier and also the more "lift" to all the bolt on components. In reality the diff barely extends below the bottom of the chassis. But it has to be open for clearance. Low nap carpet shouldn't be too much of an issue. High nap or loose gravel could. Simple enough to rectify with some double sided tape and a small square of thin clear plastic, bet you have them laying around the pit bench somewhere........

well maybe you can be a 1960 bone stock vette. and as for the slots, i dont exactly understand, you mean like a cutout around the clip area or some slot which i dont picture.

Yep, the bottom of the battery box fits snug to the lower chassis, you can unclip the top and wiggle the clip and lift up on the box to remove the bottom clip which is sandwiched.

Also, if you the lossen the screw that holds the box in place 1 turn, then the clip has enough room to release from the box.

The slot would be positioned so that you could insert a flat blade from the bottom of the chassis and get the bottom of the clip to release from the capture ridge of the battery box.

I prefer the method of lifting the front of the battery box and wiggling the clip, just moderately harder than the stock clip removal.

If you still can't visualize it, tape a flat of cardboard or plastic under the stock chassis so that the bottom battery clips are covered. Try to remove the clips and you'll see what I mean.

a riser insert wouldnt fix the problem? say, made out of foam so it raises just enough to get the clip out, and you would have to cut a space in the riser but not cf.

People people people..

First off this silvia would keep up and beat a corvette when reving hi ( 5000-6000 ) and im only 12 and i kno all of this..

That civic sounds fast, my friend has a 00 si N/A that runs low 12's.. its pretty fast, kept up with a vette on I-95

Well and a corvette may beat a viper in 1/4 just because the viper is under rated in hp stock, they say 500 and its 590.. so it has no traction to get good times in the 1/4.. slap a set of slicks on it and itll hand the corvettes rear end to ya

Cant wait for the chassis.. itll be pretti cool

Jay

other then that, it looks good
Well, considering how most flat pan cars, and even the Mini-Z have the gears exposed, I don't forsee a problem with it. Mind you, my 1/12th scale car used to collect the occasional pebble in the gears, but it was a relatively rare occurance. I've actually had it happen on the XMods, even with the gear being covered.

About the CF chassis. I'm owning one as soon as it comes out. You guys have done a fantastic job. I actually will probably own both sluggs and zeros. They both look amazing. Great job to both of you.

Ha, fantasy world. Some people just can't admit that a import can beat american muscle, in many situations. Just the fact that some imports can give american muscle a run for its money is an achievment in its self. They have four more cylinders for gods sake. Silvia = 4 banger with a turbo running 13s stock. A z06 vette is a V8 running 12s. With as much money as you put into buying that vette, you could have a monster 240sx. I have my respect for american muscle, but american muscle should have its respect for the nimble import.

digital toad you said what most american muscle owners knew but never admitted, right on the money they have the nerve to say that nothing can beat american muscle when they know themselves that it is possible especially from a foreign fwd car,to squeeze out enough horse power out of a six cylinder car to give a v8 a headache ,then they have the nerve to do the same thing to a v8 and say that nothing can beat them , well i don't know if you heard about that honda civic that hit 200mph out on the salt flats>>>>>>>

the whole 13sec stock 240sx is still a load of crap. Listen, i go to Englishtown raceway. I have attended every single import event since 1999. I am very into the drag racing scene, and have witnessed 240sx's running 15's and 14's. Before you get into the whole "sr20det" thing, those 240's ive seen had sr20dets. red tops and black tops. Have yet to see a blue top. If str8_up would really like to prove himself.. i would like to see a scanned timeslip. Then maybe ill be more of a believer. I just dont like people flaunting things that arent true.
