Hi Experts, I dont really understand how to do the ZZ rim mod...
Hi Experts, I dont really understand how to do the ZZ rim mod..., If I buy a Zipzap set with the rims, How can I change them with my BCG ones? Does require any cutting or drilling?

no drilling or cutting.....just getting upclose and personal with the stearing mechanism in your car.......open the pcb and unscrew the stearing cover, open that up and remove the original knucles. put in the newones exactly how the old ones were and put it all back as when you first opened it up......now close it up, screw the cover back on, and your done!

Sweet!
Cool! No glue, drilling, cutting? Nice... wow this is 1 of the easiest mod then... even easier than the NIMH installation Cool! But since the front wheels will be bigger.. will it interfear with the steering? I hope you dont have to do other mods for it.. and the back axle.... does it fit nice and tug in a BCG?

Wait! BC-G knuckles don't work on a ZZ! ZZ knuckles might be too big. They also might lock up on a turn. You have to switch knuckles.

All you have to do if they're too big is drill the holes out (the ones that the knuckles fit into) a little bigger. I used a drill press, but if you don't have one simply hold a drill bit in your fingers and twist it around in the hole.

Well, then I'm wrong. Thanks for the heads up, Boris. My LXX knuckles don't work on a ZZ, so I'm not swapping.
