hey does anyone know what the resistor on the motor is for what purpose does it serve?

The resistor on the motor is there for what it is supposed to do...i think. And that is to resist the amount of power going to the motr

those are not resistors. they are both capacitors, the black can is an electrolyte type and the brown one is a ceramic type. they suppress feedback from the motor known as EMF and they will interfere with the radio receiver if those capacitors are not there.
