Ok folks, slow down a little. How do you check to see if the motor is bad? Simple, connect it to a AA battery. I keep a 3 volt camera battery on hand for this.
Basically: Take the battery, set it on the desk with the positive end up. Place the motor on top. Now find something cunductive that you can connect the back of the battery with the back of the motor, i.e. wire, metal sisors (open them, you'll see). Don't worry, it wont shock you. It's too low of a voltage. Also, if you get it backwards, it will still work.
If the motor still doesn't work then toss it. If it does work then it probably means the pinion gear isn't connecting correctly with the middle gear on the bit. A common problem, especially with clones. You can fidle with motor placement, change pinion gears, or just check the gears to make sure nothing is clogging it.
Also, sometimes I take a small piece of tin foil and place it behind the motor, between the motor and the metal contact. Sometimes this helps. Don't let the tin touch the heat sink or any other metal besides the back of the motor and the metal pad that touches the back of the motor.
Good luck

cheers for the advice boho, but i think ive just got poor motors, they work and when you give them a push they fly but thats the problem you have to give them a push, might be a pinion problem but my 2.6 runs fine :/.

I dunno but that doesn't look like a motor problem to me... If it works when you give it a push, then it's because it has not enough power to take off. You see, PUTTING something into movement takes more energy than KEEPING it moving. I might say that you have either battery or power delivery problems (maybe the wires or something wrong with the PCB?). Again, I'm no expert at this stuff so I might be wrong.

Charge the car up, then take off the rear axle and gear and run it. It might be that some loose hair on the ground that got caught up in it. If it doesn't work, make sure you have the matching color gears, and no clone gears.

Heres the twist, tried on my cars and it worked fine. Strange.
Were from the philippines and the hobby hasnt catched on yet so it hard to get support for this. I personnaly rely on Tiny Rc for anything that i can get.
If someone could figure it out... it would really be great...!\
cheers to you all

This is a gearing problem that causes the motor to stop.
You need to take the motor out, and spin it just a little bit at a time.
On the back of the motor there is a little tab you can lift it a little bit with a Xacto knife. This is what makes contact with the metal piece in the chassis.
When I say spin it, I mean think of it as a clock. Try different positions with the metal tab on the back of the motor..
Higher RPM motrs are sometimes like this.
Before you put the heatsink back on, hold the motor in place with your finger, and spin the wheels to make sure they spin freely.
