so did you have to put any transistors or resistors to make the car not fry, im considering this but i dont feel like flushing

Mine still is running fine, however, it makes the weird idling noise and the wheels wo't align perfectly. The batteries die in like 3 minutes too, no joke. If you want to run 3 times faster than others though, its a good way to do it! I guess it could still get fried, but I've been running mine like this for awhile and its still ok.

But what's really funny is that my RSX with a STOCK motor can beat it off the line quicker. He'll still blow by me in about half-a-second later, but it's still pretty funny.

Haha, talkin' trash? You? Haha, just kidding. His XMOD will be the one to still be running in about a month, and it did beat me right off the line. But ya know what's REALLY sweet? A fully modded RSX racing a Supra may do the same thing, it takes the real Supra a bit to reach full boost and then it's gone, in the meantime the competition gets a head start. This is one reason the Skyline will beat the Supra in the 1/8th, but a Supra will beat a Skyline in the 1/4, not to mention the Skyline is all wheel drive. Anyway, congrats, at least you would race me unlike AJ, haha, and he even has a new motor and 5th AAA! You're the man! Even if my batteries die in 3 minutes at least you'll let me race you for my 3 minutes of glory, haha.
BTW an interesting fact is that the Skyline has HICAS steering, exclusive to Nissan. This allows the rear wheels to turn up to one degree depending on the driving conditions and the steering in general.

That would be sweet if there was an upgrade that let you do that with the Skyline. But I guess that's asking too much.
Hey you should post a picture of AJ's car. That would be sweet. BTW, he is signed up here. He signed up as "DJ Dizzy A" but has not posted yet.

There are so many fragments of this discussion that simply don't add up.
For starters, an Xmod's electronics aren't rated to accept 9v. Also, if you had 9v going through the car, the improvement would be in all areas that involve voltage (which are just about all). You would not be getting ran away from by an Xmod on lesser voltage unless it were drastically lighter than you. At least 30% lighter, which is highly unlikely. Also, you state that it's 3 times faster than a stock Xmod. How did you end up 300% faster on only 33% more voltage?? Did your motor somehow become 300% more efficient??

First off wheres bad company dat guy knows his stuff, ne wayz i am interested to know how u got a comp chip (rated fer 8.4 volts) and got 9+ volts in it) please who ever replys after me answer this question above because it is the most frequent and compelling... ne wayz with ur run time prob heres wut id do (if i knew fer sure this worked... and above all if i had my frikin xmod already!!)
1. remove all AAA bats
2. take the holder and cut it (either the center plastic divider, or a wall Note: im not sure how the batt case loox)
3. get a nine volt on each side (in the stok batt location) and wire them parralel ( + to + and - to -) this gives you 9volts with more run time)
4. the benifits r.. u get a sleeper, that is fast and lite. best of all you could do a fet turbo (if ur crazy dat is)
5. by lite i mean by other 9+ volt standards
so please answer my question at the top b-cuz every1 as well as I am curious thnx a bunch

Haha, ok, here's the deal. I did not get BEATEN by the stock RSX, he just got the jump off the line. The three times faster thing is an estimate, its not measured. My Xmod has only these upgrades: springs, body kit, light kit, stage 2 road race motor, and wheels and tires. I added in a 9V in place of two of the AAA's. The computer has not been altered or anything like that. The car is truly running fine whether yall believe it or not. Like I keep saying the only negative effect has been the weird idling noise and difficulty in alignment. I like the idea about the two 9V in parallel but just one 9V and two AAA's is stretching the body very badly, I think two 9V might crack the body. Anyway, I have simply gone in and added a 9V battery, I don't know anythng about power ratings, etc. If you don't believe me just try it yourself. If you aren't going to believe me and you aren't going to find out for yourself I don't know what you can do. Like I say here is a rundowm of all mods:
Stage 2 Road Race Motor
Soft Springs
Tie Bar
Body Kit
Wheels
Tires
Lights
2 AAA's
One 9V
It's running fine, and very very fast. The battery life is the only negative, but may be fixable taking the advice of running 2 9's in parallel.
Peace.
lp_reanimator can back me up here, he's an eye witness to all this if that's what yall need, or I can make another video, like I've been meaning to do. Hopefully I will make a longer video of a race this time for yall.

Cool, I understand where you're comin' from. I'm not serious enough about this stuff to test it or anything, although I think you were being sarcastic anyway, but oh well. I'll hopefully get more comprehensive vids of everything up soon!

What he says is true. I just thought I'd tell you that. I knew I wouldn't have beat him with his 9v, but I still thought it "interesting" that I beat him off the line.
