Rear Drive train problem
Attached to the rear diff on the diff side of the Xmod is the piece that holds the dogbone. I have drawn a cheesy picture to describe this in better detailed (see attachment).
I have gone through 2 of these in the past few weeks. They keep expanding on me widening the gap the dog bone sits in.
Each time it breaks I have to buy a new AWD kit for this little part I need. It would be nice if there were aluminum or steel pieces I could use to replace it.
I have been using the 9 tooth pinion. Maybe there was too much torque for this cheap plastic part? I am going to switch to the 10 tooth and see if this helps but I fear the worst still.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas how I can prevent it from happening again? Thanks for reading.

I just broke mine, and am waiting on a reply from someone who is sure they know what it is, so I can order a replacement part. This is the first one I've broken, but meh.

I fix Xmods at Radioshack and this has been the number one breaking part. not really sure why b/c I have put my Xmod under more stress than nessacary, and it holds up fine.

Hudson5150, does this car have the AWD kit installed and if so did you use the rear swing arms that came with the AWD kit?

HAHAHAHA I knew I wasn't the only 1 !!
I have 2 Xmods , and currently both are down cause of this crappy little piece of plastic But there is hope !!! I made one out of metal the other day !! Ok got to go buy see ya LOL HAHAHHAHA just screwin with ya man I'am in a good mood today Ok This is what i did --- 1. Go to the hardware store , and find the bolts . 2. Find the bolts that use an allenwrench to take them in and out . 3. Get a vise , and a dermal . 4. Grind and Grind and Grind until it fit's I've made one so far and it work pretty good , I just have to do alittle more grinding on it and it will be perfect .
Oh but it's metal and adds weight you say L O L My SBP car fly's so dam fast I need the extra weight to keep it from flyin up into the sky JK The piece is so small it's hard to tell if it even adds more weight Trust me . Maybe I'll post some pics of this after I go pick my kids up from school . Yea Kid's oh yea and if my wife Asks the Xmod's are my son's

Good job on making that piece and it cant be to much heavier since it is so small.
Something more important than weight is a car that can finish a race.
I noticed when I put my AWD kit on that the left rear suspension arm is wrong and caused binding so I just used the yellow ones and it has been fine.

Now I need this part as well. The Boss gave me the Broken Xmods parts and I took them and created a Rsx on a skyline body but the Differental is stripped hard core. So I can maybe get an awd drive kit or sup solder and try ti repair mine. The car drives and when it does hook up it's insane. It has a stage 1 stock motor and since the chasis is combined from a an RSX and a Skyline it's dropped very low. IfI dropped it anymore it couldn't perform a u-turn, I love the handling it's much tighter than my supra. I have 1/2 an Xmod that I'm going to scrap out and repair my friend civic and covert it to ta skyline. It's all about changing th shaft length.

I didn't see a left joint shaft. Is it called the LEFT CUP CENTER?
Do they have them?
I've only had mine for 4 days or so. My left shaft also broke.
What mods do you guys have?
I have a feeling we all have metal bearings.
You guys think they'll give me a replacement left shaft for free?

This should be a recall. It seems like there are a lot of joint cups breaking!

yes. Mine is broken also. I haven't read the thread very thoroughly, so forgive me, but what did we decide this piece was called? here's a pic. the one on the right is the broken one, obviously, and the one on the left is not.
