6 Cells

hey YeLLoW GT-R R34. i didnt see you post about the 10 motor, my bad. I finished putting the 11 tooth and soddering a connector to it last night (had to sacrific a stage 2 motor ). The motor is wild, Its almost like a turbo car. You start with lag but when it starts to move it just flies. I had my Stock bumper on my car and nailed a wall, let just say the bumper is unuseable now. Anyways the major drawback if the power consumption, the thing eats threw batteries.
Now for the big news!!
The 6-cell mod and the logic lights will fry your antenna board. Thanks to some information from Pinoy274 it seems it fries the antenna wires on the internal board. theres a way to bypass this by soldering in a new receiver module but im waiting for him to reply back to me on how to do that one. Tonight I am going to try the 6 cell (w/o lights) with my stage 10 and hope for the best. If i blow my stage 10 im going to give up on it.

Yeah if you put them in series you would achieve 12v. the highest we've seen a x-mod run is 9v. You may of fried it.

New parts

Well.. you can either
1. turn it back to stock and return it
2. you will have to wait till after Dec 31th, then you will be able to order individual parts threw RS.

Um, you don't have to rip a battery case off an Xmod, or order a spare one...

At the time I did this mod, RS didn't have the battery holders, or list them for that sake.

And as far as trying to shame me, that is a game you will not win.

BTW, I ran the RSX with 6 AAA I-C3's. It started to smell like something was burning, getting hot.

Is it safe to run 6 AAA I-C3's?

I think I'm going to go with 5 I-C3's.
