I thought about getting some street type tires, lowering the travel a bit, and getting a Escalade body for when I want to run on the strret.
Here is the off road body I might get...

amen to the drift machine. i have a hpi rs4 3. i put a tune pipeand a 2 speed tranny with a skyline body. that thing drifts sooo good i love it. also i recomend any one who has a pullstart to replace it with a roto start. youll save money on buying pullstarts every other week!!!

Yo BC!
I've had a traxxas stampede for around 5 years. I have a long- arm set up on it, and it's got INSANE articulation. I can put any wheel on a coke can, and still have the other 3 on the ground. It's really fun.
The best source for traxxas info is ultimate traxxas
Lots of neat ideas over there.

TMaxx vs. E-maxx
The T-Maxx(gas) is faster than the E-Maxx but the E-Maxx has more torque. I saw a contest where they hooked the rears together and the E-Maxx drug the T-maxx all over the place. IMHO the gassers are a bit too messy and you have to be damn near a small engine mechanic to keep one running. Plus they take a special (fuel) not just 87 octane like you throw in your lawnmower, the stuff it uses looks more like winshield washer fluid. That can get a bit more costly too. IMHO, leave the gassers to the pros.

I have two gas power rc cars, ones a 1/8 monster truck, ones a 1/10 stadium truck. the monster truck tops out at about 35/40 and the stadium truck tops out at about 70/75. I can confirm this since I drove along side of it with a car (not a very good idea but....), plus I have over $350 invested in it .

BC.....
I have a friend who races an E-Maxx. If you're planning on running it pretty hard, I would definately recommend upgrading to big bore shocks and replacing the stock bulkheads with aluminium ones. Aluminum skid plates are good too. That truck is very heavy and will pop the caps off the stock shocks after a big jump...I've seen it happen. Go to www.racinghardcore.com
they have some sweet aluminum and titanium parts..Hope this helps a little....

Here are some pics of my Rusty.
Check out my site to see them all
http://www.brick.net/~mikelute/worldofnitro
Some upgrades I've done so far are...
Big Bores all the way around
RD Racing lower chassis and front bumper
MIP stinger pipe
Dubro fuel filter
Team Blue Star bearings throughout
Proline masher 2000's on agitator wheels
Proline Road Rage II's for street on RPM clawz
Proline dirt hawgs on stock rims
Proline crowd pleazer body
I also have a Megatech M-16 waiting for when my Pro.15 finally quits. It's been a great engine.
I plan to go full RD racing aluminum. They make the best aluminum parts in my opinion. I have a big Christmas list this year. hehe! Here's a link http://rdracingproducts.com
This is not good...
