It's not the width of the rims it's the hieght that cause them to rub the chassis.

You have to cut the chassis of the tuner. The car's body is peged onto the chassis, not screwed on, which you probably already know.
I used a rotary tool and a cutting bit to cut the chassis off and then the metal pegs on the body.

hey i searched for a long while but just wondered if you got those tunerz wheels on. I tried pulling the front knuckles off and had no success. Any tricks to getting them off? Thanks

I did get the wheels on but they didn't work well so I removed them. To get the wheels off of the front knuckles, the best way in my opinion, is to just twist and pull. I've also had luck with heating up the metal peg with a soldering iron for just a lil bit. Hell you could even just destroy the rim by cutting it off making it easier to pull the peg out of the knuckle, but thats kind of a no return method.
If you search the boards for wheel swaps you should be able to find alot more info.

they just didnt steer well or what. if it effects performance i'd rather not even take the time to do it considering i'd take them off immediately.
