Dos Questions Por Favor

2 questions

1. What are U-Joints and what are they usded for?

2. Will any AM Tx transmit on the AM X-tal that it has installed?

Like if i put an Non-27MHz Xtal in a traxxas radio will it transmit on that freq?

don't know really how to explain u-joints, but on the radio, yes I belive so, but rande and glitchyness will be alot worse and you will probably be breaking a law (or several) and there is no way your going to get a traxxas revicer in one of these.

ujoints(universal joints) are used when the drive train needs to go thru any angle more than straight,in effect it lets you "bend" a straight bar while still allowing it to turn, this is needed on a steering assembly when the front wheels are powered by a motor.

:ö: according to my dictionary, a universal joint is a joint or coupling that allows parts of a machine not in line with each other limited freedom of movement in any direction while transmitting rotary motion. Also called universal coupling

about your radio... i heard somebody tried using different frequency on a 27mhz AM radio and did well.. but i suggest you just use what the radio requires so you won't have any trouble

Hitec makes channel conversion crystals, i was thinking of using their Feather 4 Rx (about same dimensions as GWS 4-channel) with the Hitec crystals in my Traxxas Tx
