first day and i already broke it
let me first say that the car is awesome, secondly...what was i thinking racing it on the bricks outside my dorm, i just couldn't wait to go to the tennis courts tommorrow, and this is how i'm punished, i apparently hit a brick the wrong way, and it sheered the left front a-joint screw off that's on the bottom....the plastic broke a little...i would normallyjust put a new screw there, but like i said, it sheered off the plastic a little, enough to make it not very likely to be fixable....which leads me to my question....
do you think radio shack will take it back if i take it by there tommorrow, since i've only had it a single day? what should i do about this, they don't make repair parts yet do they?
i was looking and realize that i can go ahead and upgrade to awd, but i would still like to have all stock parts as well....so should i just take it to radio shack tommorrow? thanks alot for any help...

Ouch!
You know I really don't know what to tell you. You might wanna try and take it back and see what they say - but it's not a "defect in materials or workmanship" so it's really gonna be how nice they feel like being at that moment in time.
Good luck.

so basically someone else posted that "if you're gonna play, you're gonna pay" and i guess that holds true, it can't stay new forever, i may just go pick up the four wheel drive kit tommorrow and just start modding the heck out of it, and let it go, hehe
i mean, the piece is completely replaceable with the awd kit, so i'll just do that....thanks alot for making my realize i'm not the only one with a scratched up ride, hehe

Crash and Burn
Sorry to hear you smashed you xmod dude. The good thing is that you can replace the part and the car is not trashed.

I knew how you felt, I had mine for about 30 mins. when I accidently drove it off the stairs. I got all mad at it until I figured out that after I took out the batteries and put them in again it worked. Now I am happy

who's the girl?
hehe, you taking pictures of the car with a fine female in the b/g ???! anyway. sweet parts, man. I bought everything at once (got discount), and have yet to put all wheel drive, but tearing down the car a few times makes me really appreciate the design.
The ball bearing kit made the biggest improvement, but it's also the most expensive ($19.99).
