Don't Turn The Screw on The Bottom!

Ok, I just got a couple SE's. After reading a few posts here in the forum I decided to try aligning the steering in hopes of getting rid of the glitching.

Actually, my car was working really good aside from the steering noise.

Now, the car is so messed up that it refuses to turn left at all. I guess the whole "weak left turn syndrome" is part of why I tried messing with it in the first place. Now it's totally unusable. I'm gonna mess around some more but I wanted to get this post out here first. If anyone has had a similar problem and found a fix, please reply.

In the meantime, I would suggest that no one play with the screw on the bottom of the car unless absolutly necessary.

Peace
Nugz

Maybe you screwed it totally out of something. Try screwing it in a little.

Ok, I think I fixed it. Never fails, I think just posting a message gives you special powers to fix yer problems. Anyway, it seems to be back to normal. I guess what fixed it now that I think about it has been mentioned in a diff post. That post didnt make sense when I read it, but now the solution seems to be the same.

I started by tuning the steering with the controller trim all the way to one side. Once I did this, the steering was all to one side but the car did appear to at least steer both left and right. I finished up by the adjusting the screw on the bottom of the car while holding the throttle the way it says in the instructions. Now it appears to be the way it was when I first got it. However, its not totally driving straight so I need to make smaller adjustments.

If this is the fix, then I'm suprised because now I'm forced to trim it via the screw on the car. The steering trim on the controller at this point is all the way to one side. One would think that it should always be close to the middle position. Anyway I will post more info after I play around some more.

Later
Nugz

don't be surprised, most of us rarely turn the big trim, the small one is just much more precise.

well, i guess if you're in the mood you can turn it alot and get the results you want, but you can also do very minor adjustments. i love the bottom screw.
