Just found another blazing example of the kindness shown to members over at the MysticFright site (sorry Namuna, I saw that referance on another site and it still makes me chuckle). A new member who is obviously very young posted twice in his own thread. Here's a direct quote from the thread.
Member: hey you guys know i was trying to be nice to my cousin and why does it matter if i reply to everything does it freeze it?
Moderator: The rules are there for a reason. That reason is to keep this forum running as smoothly as possible. Please obey the rules or find another forum to participate on.
Nice huh? The kid was new, excited and made a VERY minor mistake. The mod (who is now an assistant administrator. I suppose for his compassion for members) pretty much told the kid to take his toys and leave. The idea that this guy says he's a youth councellor and pastor makes me shudder. The stupidest thing of all is that his trouncing on this poor kid incited a dozen other posts from other kids echoing his harsh attitude. And this is the mod's idea of keeping things running smoothly? I just shake my head.

Another contender for the totally weird award. They have a car of the month contest. If you win, you get a "free" microsizer as your prize. Funny thing is, it costs 29.95 to have it shipped. Is it me, or is that just a scam? I didn't make this up, go take a look. That is, assuming history doesen't change again and the evidence is deleted. Seems to happen a lot over there. The title of the thread is "Vehicle" of the month. Or, was, as the case may be.

Only 20 days later and they only have 6 more members than us. That's quite a statement in and of itself. Sorry to quote myself, but I thought an updated comparison was in order.
