hey lord nick
About your wheelie question, if you get a STOCK microsizers PRO and use the turbo to run in reverse about 3ft. on a smooth, clean surface and then hit forward quickly, it should do a wheelie. Repeat as nessesary. I've gotten it to wheelie about 1/4 inch. Using acceleration gears would problably make bigger wheelies.

dragula,
I have the perfection 4.2 and 4.2pro. I gotta say that these motors are really quick. I've raced these against a Phast motor and the 4.2s beat it. The 4.2Pro motor is quick without the boost function being used and with the booster being used its crazy fast. The only thing about the 4.2motors is that they don't have as much torque as the Phast motor. I'd recommend the 4.2 motors and especially for the price its a heck of a deal and not to mention you get 2 motors.

I just got my 4.2 today. To say the least its FAST. Un boosted its as fast as my perfection 3.8 boosted, and boosted oh my god I can spin my tires from a standing start. I love this car it as alot more torque then the 3.8. My 3.8 would get stuck very easily in my carpet (burbur carpet) but my 4.2 powers through it. Also, my 4.2 got droped in some water but now it runs even FASTER. Odd. I've heard about dripping 1/10 motors in water and running them to break them in. Think this applys to BCG motors too.

howdy,
The reason that your motors may not run very well when they are new or partially used is because they use dielectric(I think thats how to spell it)grease on the comm because their are no actual brushes just little copper deals you can hold the can w/ a pair of pliers and tap the armature until the endbell comes off Ive had mixed results tho cause sometimes the contact for the can breaks but you can buy the grease at your local auto parts store (Its for lightbulbs)
Does any one know where to get the 4.2s and which one is faster?

smurf, somewhere i heard that when the bit motors are dipped in water they will run faster and stronger than before. the fun only lasts for a while as the motors tend to live a shorter life. hope this isnt the case for you tho, just something i remembered seeing somewhere thats all.

thats the pool mod... you short out everything and get an INSANE increase in voltage

Even grease ( yes U spelled it right) or lubes will present some draw of power on the moters. Water washes it out or thins it enough where the shaft can free spin easier. This is a short lived solution. (sometimes even your car will suddenly perform way better... next stop-the shop)
Forget the pool mod (lol) The FASTEST MOTOR is the one w/ the stickers all over it

ya know what actually ur right I was wrong, but what does werk is to run tha motor with tha dielectic then water then dielectic again to kinda cycle clean it but what you do have to watch for is shorting between tha contacts especially with the dielectric(thats what causes it to ru soo poorley sometimes after a while, btw if any of you guys were/are seriosly into slot cars ull kno this one you can change tha timing by turning tha commutator therefore energizing different segments of the commutator at advanced or (hehe reminds me of my self) retarded timing. with this mod you can get torque from an rpm motor or rpm from a torque motor, but there are four things to keep in mind :If you read this and you thought wow Im gonna do that with my car, took your motor apart then found out that you have a "core less" motor (armature spins around the magnets) uve just wasted ur time cause I dont have any of those to test with, but I have seen them & tha mod would have to be done differently 2 remember those steering wires? tha wires that wrap around your motors armature is just as fragile dont try to change the timing too many times or else you will break the wire rendrering the armature useless 3 A gain in torque means a loss in rpm and vise versa 4 last, but definitly not least a little is a lot w/these motors so dont take urs apart n wrench the comm all the way in any one direction.
