If you do this mod, you can achieve stock-like steering qualities....but you MUST take your time on the front wheel assembly! To get the front knuckle/wheel assembly disassembled, I used a hole punch to first push the pin in. Then, to push the pin the rest of the way out, I used a thin scribe.
You have to make sure that when are drilling out the Dub City wheels, you get them snug enough that the existing steering pins are pain to re-install. To match the hole just right, I disassembled the REAR wheel assembly (if you don't know, the rear wheels come off by turning, not just pulling). I then took the rear axle to a hobby store and had them give me a drill bit that was the same diameter.
What I just said sounds kind of confusing reading over it again. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Having done the wheel swap now, it wouldn't be too difficult doing it again. The hardest part was figuring out how to disassemble/reassemble the front knuckles.
Now as far as performance, obviously the black Civic has the horrible 1st generation PCB. To make matters worse, I did the wheel swap using one of my many blue gear sets (didn't want to mess up my only read gear set). But, these Dub City wheels are smaller than stock. And by running smaller diameter wheels than stock, I basically changed the over-all gearing. If accurate, scientific tests were possible, a Dub City- equiped Zip should accelerate faster with the smaller wheels.

It'd look really cool if you did it as low as your Civic
You'd probably have to dremel out the wheel wells
We have Payoso & his Glorias, Cabo Wabo & his s2000s, Strider for cool mods & now we have Ahh5hit for Zip Zap appearence

Ok, this is the best I could do. The body is as low as it can go on the chassis. The larger diameter wheels keep it higher off the ground than the small diameter wheels on the Civic. I also had to dremel right much of all of the fenders, so much so, it took away from some of the styling. I used the 350Z body that I had previously modded with the spoiler. I do need to do some touch up paint on the fenders where my dremel slipped once.

I thought I would spice it up just a bit. What do you think? With or without the stripes?

Ahh5hit,
Niiiice work on the 350! I definately need a rotary tool...carving the fenders for these drop jobs takes way more dexterity and patience than I have I love the black stripes and the new spoiler (black one especially). Are those stipes painted on the outside? They look raised a bit off of the body. I've yet to repaint a Zip and am not quite sure of the painting process.

They are just good ole' electrical tape I stuck to the back of a vinyl decal sheet and cut with an exacto knife. It was a quick spur of the moment job.
