Unhappy Help!!! 1 min run time???

Hi, i just registered, but i have been browsing these forums for more than 5 months now. I have tried many mods and stuff, and love them all

I have a problem, though. My microsizers, this one is stock, has 0:56 run time!!! It happened right after i put in the perfection 3.8. I thought this was normal for a fast motor, but when i put in my old 2.6(which had a good 5-6 min. run time with one charge), it only lasted 1:22. I looked for short circuits, etc., but could not find any. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Try double charging. Also try replacing the battery. Or just e-mail Hobbico Tech Support, tell them its a completely STOCK microsizer & when you tried to put a MICROSIZERS 2.6 motor in the runtime went crappo on you.

Please make sure you emphasize the capitals

They'll ask you a few q's (don't tell em you opened the PCB cover)
Then they'll send you a new chassis

Well, i do try double charging, but i don't want to be doing that in a race. I think I will e-mail hobbico. Thanx! Anybody got any other suggestions?

nicads have a memory
which means that if you dont fully charge and discharge them they start to cripple their life and end up not holding a charge
i've had it happen just try a new battery

Ok, i actually borrowed a batt. from my friend (who was gonna use it for his tri cell ) and put it in, but there is no difference.

Viperkilla: I have had it for about 2 weeks now, but have used it about 40 times.

If the batteries in the charger are old, change them. This will have an adverse effect on run time. I usually change mine every other week.

i found that using new batts in my "charger" controller works good, and when they wear out, switch them to the controllers that i use for controlling my bits... the range on 3 of my bits blew, so i put in new batts, no effect... so i swapped them back to old ones

looks to me like it doesnt take much power to transmit... but of course you're goign to get SLIGHTLY more range w/ new, high quality batts... just not enuf to warrant it... IMO of course..

I am using nicads in mine its cheaper and they give out about the same voltage if you peak them but they have no current limmitations so they seem to perform better both in the controler and in chargeing the car

perfections and high powered motors require a lot of power mine was doing that too until i changed to 150mah

do you think i should upgrade my battery
I'm expcting my perfection in the next couple of days

I like nicads over nimh because the nimhs
have a steeper distarge curve resulting in less speed earlyer and it deteriating while it drains nicads give thier full power pretty well to the end resulting in it being fast untill it dies

I have never had a nimh so if you recomend it I may pick one up
