nrmcj 01-18-2003 01:15 AM

lol, that one body is kinda hard to tell tho... if you asked me i woulda said mustang rite away... im not into cars that old... Except for the old truenos, r32s, and early generation supras..

but not knowing an ae86 is just plain shameful

krillin52 01-18-2003 03:11 AM

well for some reason, the 2000 GTR does kind of look like a charger how its shaped and all, but isnt an 8-6 a toyota corolla?

ShadowMage 01-18-2003 11:32 AM

yeah the 86 is a toyota corolla that was produces from (I believe) 1983 till 1986. (Could be wrong on the dates) It was last rear wheel drive corolla before they went to front wheel drive.

nrmcj 01-18-2003 11:34 AM

yeah, the ae 86 is a toyota trueno.. fast version of the corolla... im not too sure what year, but im almost certain it's from the mid to late 80s....

nrmcj 01-18-2003 11:35 AM

whoops.... someone beat me to it ^_^

BOme}{_2k5 01-18-2003 05:36 PM

AE86 sprinter trueno was made in 1986.. thats why its called AE"86" i kno dis cuz i have all three stages of initial d!! hehe but yea they called it the hachi roku meaning "8 6" in japanese

BOme}{_2k5 01-19-2003 03:19 PM

sorry my mistake! the actual ae86 trueno was made from 1981-1989..

nrmcj 01-19-2003 03:24 PM

=) actually... they dont call it an 86 cuz it was made in 86.. it does make sense, but im almost certain that's not how they did it...

cuz the levin (ae85) was made all through the same years as the trueno was, and simply was a weaker, ecomony car version... im waayy too lazy to look up the specifics, but im sure there's a reason why they call it the 86...

generally japanese cars arent given names, just the production tag,: ae86, FC3S, FD, SW20, ehhh.. i dunno evo3's production tag ;) oh, and s15, s13, as oppsed to sylvia...

Gemmer 01-19-2003 04:38 PM

<-------excuse to post whore

ralliart 01-19-2003 06:29 PM

hey Pie, but there are AE86 Levins . im not sure but the ones you see on the streets are either GT-S corolla model or SR-5. the GT-S is the ae86 with 127 hp.(around there). and the SR-5 is considered the ae85 with like 87hp....that SLOW but what can u do?

someone correct me if im wrong

VuN86 01-19-2003 07:26 PM
