Are you ok aside from the pain? Yes, I always wear eye protection.
Ouch that must hurt! >.< I dont have a dremel yet. I just use a heated x-acto knife. Plus I dont trust myself with a dremel. I am only 14.
I'm 14 too. I use my dads dremmel and its not very hard to use
im 14 to(fremels are relatively easy to use you just gotta be careful. my eye id oin better except i couldnt open my i for a while but it got better and i have learned my lesson so it wasnt all bad
i use a dremel just not for these things. im 14 like most of you too unless you got one of teh $60 ones with all of the speeds and the extension thingy you shouldn't try to use them with these things.
yeah thats the kiunda dremel i use
ridealot100,glad to hear you'll be alright.
I almost hate to use a dremel cutting disc just because of the chance of a disk blowing apart. I think I got my scare at my old job while using a 1/4 air die grinder (about 20,000rpm's)to cut a piece a aluminum sheet and the 3" disc shattered, pieces were everywhere.I was very glad I had the sense not to be in line with the disc edge because if a piece of that had hit me I'd have off to the clinic for stitches.I had safety glasses on and gloves but we never did find all the pieces of the disc some of it was probally stuck in the ceiling. safety glasses/safety shields are very good things to use. |
WOW i am never using a disc again. uless it is wvon with that one nylon or carbon stuff(shatter proof)
Good idea but remember that even the reinforced disc's can still shatter, thats what was on the air die grinder that blew apart on me.
As I have gotten older I really go out of my way to get the saftey gear I need. Trying to look through dirty/scratched saftey glasses is still easier than looking through a glass eye.Think about it. (I dont want a glass eye because of a moment of stupidity) |
