New rims & tires???
Does anyone know where I can purchase new rims and tires for my bit? I am looking for something a little wider than the stock ones. Thanks in advance.

if you can get a hold
of a zipzap the front end parts drop right in then you've got interchangable hubcaps if you can get ahold of one oink |

yea zipzap wheels work great but they might not be what your looking for because they are not wide but they look cool and it makes you have the full size tire mod heres a picture of mine with the zipzap wheels

iron man how did the springs fair with the zip zap tires?they fit fine? I am getting mine in, but i wanna make sure that they work.

I've heard of rubbing issues when people put Zip Zap wheels up front. Some say it rubs the Chassis??? Is this true???
|
certain bodies(automodellista set in particular)....long time no see my friend :D
|
so no rubbing on the chassis?????
|
no rubbing ^.^

Chassis Rub
Hey Speed,
I tried the ZZ fronts on Bits and yes there is chassis rub. :( Check this link for a solution to the problem. |
maybe body run, but there is no chasis rub at all (body rub only wiht the bodies i have said) i know what i am talking about htere is no chasis rub, i ride it around and it works perfectly
|
Doesn't the taller wheel make the center of gravity higher causing more flips?
|
I did the Zip Zap mod on LXX juat an hour or so ago. It looked coll, but add the LXX chasis to the rubbing list. Every time I turned the tires would rub in the rear.
I'm going to try a Panther tomorrow and see if it rubs. |
I just installed some ZZ wheels on my bit. I had to do a little shaving to keep the wheels from rubbing, but not too much. Has anyone, that has done this mod, run into the problem where the car turns better in one direction than the other? My car did not have this problem with the stock bit wheels.
|
I was just reading about aluminum rims for the bit, but it seems you can only get them in Germany and the UK. Does anyone know or sugguest a good place to purchase these? I am willing to pay for someone to get these for me. If there is anyone that is willing to help, please email me.

thats odd, steering is great on mine, and the speed increased, there is some body rub but no chasis rub. The stering is better than the stock wheels.
|
I figured out my steering problem...i had some metal shavings on the magnet. As for the ZZ wheels, I did not like how they made my bit preform. My bit spun out every time i tried to turn. I think it is because the ZZ wheels are much thinner than the bit. I think i will hold out until i can find some aluminum wheels that are as wide as the bit.

yea aluminum would be good. But obviously you have done the mod completely wrong, most people who have had this problem have either lost their steering spring(and hadnt noticed it) or they had not connected the peice with the steering magnet to the knuckles. I have had no flips, because since the wheels are even it will result in easier. The is nor chasis rubbing, i have no idea why most people are having no success with this mod.
