Hmmmmmm...I'm guessing you will need a pinion puller for this.

torque is how hard the wheels turn... HP is a function of toque over time

it sorta measures acceleration of the car @ load

Torque is what gets ya moving, HP is what keeps you moving

That's the PN S02. You would need a FET upgrade to run that motor.

Tourqe is the force a motor produces that moves your car. Period.

Horsepower is a function of tourqe and RPM, and represents how much tourqe you get after gearing, or how much you can apply at a given RPM. Ex- a typical Honda Civic DX engine only makes ~80 ft-lbs, but can put 1000+ to the wheels in first gear. The horsepower peak is when your engine is producing the most tourqe at the wheels. So when people say "Low end tourqe" they are referring to the wheel tourqe made by the engine's low-end horsepower.

Electric motors simply produce X amount of tourqe at 0 RPM, and it decreases linearly up to the RPM peak. This is due to back EMF reducing the current flowing through the motor. This points out the flaw with horsepower- an electric motor has 0 hp at 0 RPM, though it is peaking in wheel tourqe. The right gears on a motor can almost flatten out the tourqe line.

Yeah that is sorta why I was asking you about the FET upgrade Stacking vs. seperate board. What type of configuration would be needed. I can do anything and do it correctly, if it is explained. You tell what FETs jto put where and it will get done along with the six cell I started on tonight. I used my dremel and cut the dual AAA holder in half and soldered the + to - that was just a metal wire. It wont look the best, but it wont be slow enough to look at it close like that

if your looking for non-turobo mini-z motors, there are a few choices:
mini-zracer a-bb motor
mini-zracer o-bb motor
chaser rc m's stock motor
pn racing speedy motor
kyosho x-speed motor

i'm willing to bet these are all way better than any rs motor as they are all competitive products for the x-speed which is kyosho's upgraded stock motor for the mini-z

the x-speed is nice, the pn speedy is exactly that, the a-bb is very good, and the o-bb is supposed to be a torqier version for the overland. i'll have one of those any day now. don't waste the money for m's stock motor.

once the turbo/fet questions for the xmods can be aswered, there are lots of good trubo motors:

just couldn't fit the 6th cell in but got the 5th in right in the rear bumper
