Confirm:Lithium batteries in transmitter=longer running time?
"Special Note on Lithium Batteries Multiple preliminary tests using Energizer brand e^2 Photo Lithium Batteries in the transmitter seem to "supercharge" the car allowing it to run longer (not further). Using a Bit-Charge (1.0 motor) test Car, continuous running times of 200-300% over alkalines were achieved (12-18min). "
Can anyone confirm this? |
hmmm maybe... but the car instruction says to use regular alkaline. but i'm sure Lithium wouldn't hurt the car too bad..

stopped by the shack to check em out - 4 of those batteries go for 15 bucks. yikes. they are supposed to last 3x as long as alkaline as well tho. btw that stack of black civic ZZs was gone - in one day. also you know that Viper that is a bit bigger than a ZZ? they make them in a Chevy SSX pickup version too.
NM - Office Depot has a pack of 4 for $8.99 Also, I noticed the shack had a few diff type of rechargeable NIMH cells that were higher voltage - 3.6volts? that could maybe fit in a char-g. if the NIMH last longer charged, getting a higher voltage battery could maybe make the car quicker as well without having to do a double battery mod? |

ive been using those since day one. youll notice the LEDs on your controller are 2x as bright |
EXCELLENT! With that controller combo and a NiMH replacement in the car, we are talking some serious longevity!

I broke down and bought a slew of Energizer Accu Rechargable batteries and charger when I got my digicam a while back. I use them for the Bit as well, they seem to be working GREAT. And you save money in the long run.
