First Attempt @ a custom paint job.
Ok. I'm really starting to go places with these little suckers. I'm building a few tracks already one with some jumps (man do my cars FLY!), and a scale model of the Daytona International Speedway. Well now heres some questions I have about custom paint jobs.
#1 - Whats the best BRAND of paint (Testors or Krylon, etc.)
#2 - Whats the best KIND of paint (like spray or model?)
#3 - What are the best decals to use (wet or dry or stick on?)
Thanx guys your always helping me out.

I dont think that there is really the BEST paint brand, sure some are not high in quailty but i use testors and i think some people use tamiya. To answer your second question, i would probably use spray paint or an air thing (lol i cant think of what they are called right now) Anyways, im not sure what are the best decals.
**EDIT**
Now i remember its an airbrush, lol now i feel stupid.

Like say if I wanted to paint my Spoiler only tho. then what would I do? Could I use model paint and paint brush? Or could you tell the difference? If any1 has a link I could use one (not QFM either)

If you use a brush, you would probably see all the lines and personally i dont think it would look as good as if you spray-painted it, its gives it a better and more even layer.

agreed
most paints r good though, i bought a cheap canna (not a word)
paint from walmart for 3 bux and its great, it just depends on how YOU paint it, peinting in layers, being patient etc.
airbrush would probably be amazing too

All u have to do is take the spoiler off then spraypaint it, but it you cant remove it then i guess you can use a paint brush. Yea i knew what you were talking about its just that i didnt know u meant when it was still on the body.

im going to use a brush with testors paint.
but to make sure you wont screw up, mask the area around the 'painted spot' so if you slip, the paint will go on the masking tape, not the 'nice' paint.

i spray paint the bodies and brush in the details..then when your done.. clearcoat it with spraypaint...
once u clearcoat it..u dont notice the lines from the brush.
i didnt like the krylon clearcoat spray.. the dupont duplicolor clearcoat spray is a million times better quality. the krylon looks
orange peely when done. the dupont duplicolor clear always comes out nice and smooth.
